Do I have to attend a workshop in order to attend the fair?

Yes, all COB students, Economics and Computer Science majors must attend the required Prepare for the Fair workshop.  Please plan to attend one of the following one hour sessions:

Are classes cancelled on Fair days?

Classes are NOT cancelled for the Accounting Career Fair on September 9.

All College of Business classes will be cancelled on September 22 until 1:59 p.m.  Any class meeting at or after 2:00 p.m. will be in session.

How do I get to the fair?

For the accounting fair on September 9, you can drive or take the BearLine shuttle to Kentwood Hall.  Kentwood is next door to the Convention Center.

On September 22, special COB Career Fair shuttles will run and students are encouraged to take the shuttles as parking will be limited and there may be a charge.  Two COB Career Fair marked shuttles will pick up students at Bear Park South, Meyer Library and then loop to the Expo Center from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  There will be sandwich boards at each location indicating the shuttle stop.

What do I wear to the Fair?

All of the career fair dress guidelines will be outlined in the required workshop.

What if I’m not a business, economics or computer science major?

The College of Business Fairs are only open to business, economics and computer science majors and minors that have attended the required workshop.

What if I am a College of Business alum?

You are welcome to attend the fair but you must contact Vickie Hicks at vickiehicks@missouristate.edu for specific details and to get permission to attend.

Will there be a photo booth this year?

Since students will be dressed professionally, we will have a professional head shot photo booth set up at the fair.  Students can get their pictures taken and later purchase them from Photo Services for only $5.
